PlayStation 3 Super Slim
I recently found my old PS3 in the closet a few days ago, aswell as a lynx
when i was searching for my GameBoy. I decided to give it a well-deserved clean as it was showing its age.
When i looked at the back of it, i found out it actually supported HDMI. I searched my (flimsy)
box of cables that i have in my room and found a good HDMI cable. I decided to "borrow" a battery charger's
power cable, which was the exact type the PS3 used. After finding my PS3 controller, which turned out to
be a sixaxis, i had to find a cable to charge it. I found a few splitter cables (ones that have more than
one end) but none of them worked.
The most logical explanination was because the cables were clearly aging.
Turns out, cables for the controllers are extremely cheap, and i bought one that would be long enough to
be used across the room. After looking around in a seperate cable box for an unrelated reason, i ended up
finding a short, PS3-compatible cable. Plugging it into my computer, the PS3 controller had lit up with
life for the first time in atleast a decade. I let it charge overnight, and when the cable arrived i put
it beside the PS3 for later. Not knowing that the Sixaxis was wireless, i used the cable for about an
hour before unplugging it to see if it was wireless, to which it was.
After messing around with my PS3 for a few hours, i realised something. The two accounts named the exact same,
the games i vividly remember playing when i was younger. It took me a few hours to realise, but this console
was the exact console i used to play on a decade ago.
A list of all the games i currently own for my PS3 (To be updated - incomplete)
Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition, Gran Turismo 5, Rayman Legends, Driver: San Franciso
